Amen

Rev. 12:11 says, “ They overcame him with the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony.” Throughout the Old Testament, we are constantly reminded of the importance of remembering what the Lord has done in our lives and the lives of others. When we share a testimony, that same creative power is released into the hearer’s life to perform the same miracle.
The word amen means “so be it.” When you say amen, you are saying, “So be it unto me!” Here in the Amen Corner you will find testimonies of God’s goodness. As you read these testimonies, put your amen to it and allow that same creative anointing to be released into your life. Remember, God is not a respecter of persons. What He will do for one, He will do for you!
On January 30, 1997, I was diagnosed with a disease called Cystic Fibrosis. CF is a genetic disease that results in an abnormally thick and sticky mucus formed in the lungs. This excessive amount of mucus leads to chronic and life threatening lung infections and can result in suffocation as well. There is no known cure for CF…
For several years before I was diagnosed with CF, I would have pneumonia in the spring and again in the fall. Each bout of pneumonia would place another scar on my lungs. I would go to my family doctor and he would give me the same medications over and over again. This just did not seem right. So, when a friend suggested I see a lung specialist, I quickly agreed and made an appointment.
I went to a lung specialist in Charlotte, NC and had a series of tests performed. These tests showed three things:
My lungs were badly damaged.
I was not breathing from the upper lobes of my lungs.
The oxygen content in my blood was extremely low.
A biopsy of lung tissue was taken and DNA testing was performed. This test proved positive for Cystic Fibrosis. After receiving the shocking news, I began giving myself treatments at home. These treatments consisted mainly of a nebulizer machine and physical therapy. The nebulizer machine produced a chemically charged vapor that I inhaled. This was followed with physical therapy.
Physical therapy was achieved by my husband giving me a series of hand/fist pounding to my back and chest areas. These treatments to loosen the excessive mucus was done twice a day and took approximately 45 minutes per session. After a few months, we convinced our insurance company to lease a Thairapy Vest. This machine provided me with better treatments than were possible with the previous method and gave me more independence too.
Shortly after beginning these treatments, my family began attending a Word of Faith church and began to hear about God’s will to heal. Pastor Eddie Smith was very supportive and suggested several books and audio teachings for me to study more about the healing power of God.
Some of the books and audio teachings I studied are How to Live and Not Die by Norvel Hayes, God’s Creative Power for Healing by Charles Capps and Heaven’s Health Food by Larry Hutton.
Pastor Eddie told me to quote and meditate on healing scriptures until I got them firmly planted inside me. I studied and wrote out scriptures every day, several times a day. I even had healing scriptures posted on the refrigerator and on the bathroom mirror.
On July 29, 1997, I was completely healed of Cystic Fibrosis. I stopped taking the medication and the treatment. The doctors could not believe what had happened to me. Thanks be to God, I am healed!
